Stop... movie-time

Let me just briefly say that this has been a saaaaaad year for movies. Sad. I just checked out the top movies of the year according to sales and let me give you the rundow.

1. Star Wars Episode 3... not so stellar but it's Star Wars so I can understand that.

2. War of the Worlds - again, not so stellar in my opinion. Nothing really happened other than Tom Cruise running. He didn't do anything other than not get probed and we aren't really sure of that either.

3. Wedding Crashers - WHAT?!?!? How the fork did this become the third top grossing movie of the year?

4. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - It was decent. Not great. Not bad.

5. Batman Begins - This was one of the best movies of the year in my opinion but that's just me. Even if you aren't a Batman fan see this movie.

OK. Now the list starts getting questionable.

6. Madagascar
7. Mr. and Mrs. Smith
8. Hitch
9. The Longest Yard
10. Fantastic Four
11. Robots
12. The Pacifier... the freaking Pacifier is 12th on the list?!?!?! Not good.
16. The Dukes of Hazard... sad.

What has happened to all the good movies? I mean, I'm not even talking about "good" as in the Golden Globes or Oscars. I'm just talking about entertaining. I know the "good" movies are starting to come out in November but still. This is sad. There have been SEVERAL times this summer when we wanted to see a movie and couldn't come up with we actually wanted to pay to see and that does not happen often either.

Ok, you can return to your regularly scheduled activities... or post a comment on the blog.

Ghetto

So... the other day Haircut wakes up and wanders toward the window to look outside and see what the weather is going to be like for the day when she notices something peculiar. The trunk of our car was popped open. She thought it was strange and took a closer look and realized that the passenger window was down. She thought, "I don't remember leaving the window down" and took a closer look only to realize the window which seems to be rolled down was acutally busted.

Can you guess what happened? Is the correct answer:

A. Someone broke into our car
B. Someone broke into our car
C. Someone broke into our car
D. I need to eat more vegetables

If you guessed A, B, or C then you guessed correctly. Well, actually if you guessed D you were right but just not for this specific incident. They only took the face plate off our radio and sifted through the stuff in the trunk. No big deal. We drove the car to work today because we scheduled an appointment for a window replacement company who comes to you. Seeing how it was a little chilly this morning and we didn't want to freeze we decided to do something about it. What did we do? Well, I never thought I would see this day but... we... well... we put a trash bag over the window. Ghetto as ghetto can be. Actually, Haircut was able to find some clear plastic we used to winterize the windows in our house but still, plastic is as plastic does... or something like that.

Boo-yeah!!!

... That's right. I did it. I started the official Funkadelic blog. Well, actually someone already took the name "Funkadelic" so I went with "Funkadelicblog" and decided to post threatening comments on the Funkadelic bloggers site. We'll see how that all pans out.

Anyway, this is just the next step in moving towards the Funkadelic podcast, then our own radio show, sit-com, CSI: Columbus, and eventually feature length movie starring Kirk Cameron, Corey Haim, and Tootie from The Facts of Life.

If you'd like to be a contributor to the blog I'll sign you up. If not... I still might sign you up.

Regards,
Management
